Little Herons Pre School

Our new Pre School is purpose built and designed by the staff at Robert Mellors. The Pre School has been designed for 2 to 4 year olds, enabling us to provide 2 year funded places and additional places for those children taking up the 30 hours entitlement.

The new Pre School, features it's own outdoor learning environment and a link to the current Foundation Stage too.  Our aims are to provide high quality care and education for all our children and provide a seamless approach and transition for children when they move from the Pre School to the Foundation Unit.  Children accessing 30 hour funding may access both the Pre School and the Foundation Unit across the school day.

Our highly qualified and trained staff work across both settings to ensure continuity of provision and support with transition for all our children.

Admissions

Please contact the school office directly to enquire or to be added to the waiting list.  All children will receive a home visit as part of the admission process.  The purpose of this is to get to know you and your child and ensure we are able to best support them when they start.

2 Year Funding

Apply direct to Nottinghamshire County Council for a funding code. This can then be handed to the school office prior to your child starting.

2 Year old sessions run from 8:50-11:50 or 12:15-3:15.

If you need support with applying for a code, please contact Arnbrook Children's Centre or ask at the school office.

30 Hours Funding

We are able to provide full time (8:50-3:15) sessions for any child with this funding.  We also have an onsite before and after school club (Limetrees). They provide a wrap around service for childcare for any child needing additional hours.  Funding codes must be obtained and checked by our school office six weeks before they are due to start.
