Art is taught as part of our termly topics, focusing on knowledge and skills stated in the National Curriculum. We follow the Kapow Art Scheme of Learning.
Our Intent
Our Art curriculum builds creativity and equips pupils with the knowledge and skills to experiment, invent and create. Through cross curricular links, the children are able to explore a diverse range of artists. By producing their own works of art, craft and design, the children can develop a special way of understanding and responding to the world.
Our curriculum is delivered over a 2-year cycle. Cycle A and Cycle B split the curriculum so that all children access all learning as outlined in the National Curriculum.
